Collin Ludlow-Mattson

In my classes, I like students to think of me more as a collaborator than as a judge of the quality of their work. As a collaborator, I expect students to work to the best of their abilities, and to hold up their side of the collaboration — with me and with the class as a whole. We are all responsible for the success of the class. If we work together to make the class great, it will be great. In the past few years, I’ve worked with colleagues to develop online writing courses, and I enjoy interacting with students in both asynchronous and synchronous formats. I have a B.A. and an M.A. in English (Literature). When I’m not teaching, I enjoy playing music with my band, writing songs and exploring San Francisco with friends.
